Respectful, Welcoming, and Resident-Focused – Visiting with Care at Shannon Lodge Nursing Home
Shannon Lodge Nursing Home Visiting Policy
At Shannon Lodge Nursing Home, we recognise and respect each resident’s right to maintain meaningful relationships with family, friends, and other individuals who are important to them. Visiting is an essential part of this right, and we are committed to supporting our residents in receiving visitors in a way that suits their personal preferences and wellbeing.
General Visiting Guidelines

Respect for All Residents
Visitors are asked to be mindful of the comfort, privacy, and rest of all residents during their visit.
Noise levels should be kept to a minimum, and visits should take place in communal areas or the resident’s room, as appropriate.
Children Visiting
Children are welcome to visit but must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
Children should not be left unattended on the premises or in the grounds of Shannon Lodge under any circumstances.
We thank all visitors for their cooperation and understanding as we work together to create a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for our residents and their families.
